oncedone, put the USB on your PC, boot from USB. press F12 at boot and choose USB. choose mini-xp from the options, once in the desktop, try to check your HDD if is accessible and copy your personal data to the USB flash drive. if the HDD is accesible, so it's still alive and we must find a way to repair MBR.
Everythingwas fine for all of 6 hours. Then windows got slow, really really slow. Naturally I restarted the computer, but it then got stuck in a reboot loop. It would get to the acer logo screen, load, and then restart unless I intervened by opening BIOS or the boot menu. Symptom1: Computer attempts to enter Startup Repair continuously. Cause #1: Damaged or corrupted BCD settings. Cause #2: Corrupted boot partition. Cause #3: Blue Screen of Death on reboot. Fix #1: Run chkdsk on the boot volume. Fix #2: Disable Automatic Restart. Fix #3: Manually attempt to rebuild the BCD.
Unplugthe AC power adapter. 3. Search for a pinhole on the backside of your laptop, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole, press and hold it down for 25 seconds. Then release the paperclip and try to turn on the unit and check. After this try to get into the BIOS by pressin the F2 then turn ON the unit.

I made the HDD0 the last device to use when booting which allowed the USBFDD0 to be visible. I booted twice using USBFDD0 then after that all the duplicate HDD0's disappeared. Just FYI, Tracey. AIdY.
