Loads of other engines and combination can and have been done. Turbo-charged 1.6 16V Bravo engine is underway for example, and the Sporting (90) 1600 bottom end can be used with an otherwise GT engine and some custom work to create a 1.6 GT. As with all engine swaps uprated brakes and suspension are recommended and pretty much essential.fiat punto 1.2 16v sporting red. 2012_fiat_500c_yellow_dynamic. alfa romeo Brera and Mito (1) 1/7. Alloys, 6 speed gearbox, all parts available. See Details. See Fiat Punto Sporting Mk2a 2003. 80 hp 6 speed, Second Gear acceleration, from 2200rpm to 6000rpmI have another video with second gear pull, with less km on od Its not something I have ever looked into in any detail but i do know that a cinq sporting box for example is a C514.5.13 which i would hazard a guess at meaning its a c514 casing with a 5 speed box and 13" wheels. To my knowledge the C514 box normally comes with the 3.867 final drive but can also come with a 4.07 final drive.
Does anyone know why Fiat decided to go with a 5-speed gearbox on the Sporting 16v 1.8, as opposed to the 6-speed? Just wondering really. I had the 6-speed on my last Stilo (1.4) and it was great for motorways. The fifth gear on the Sporting just seems to be revving too high at cruising speed, although there is a lot of 'pull'.
i still never been in a 16v mk1 punto but i can tell you the engine in a cento makes a pretty quick car, i suspect the panda is even lighter so you should have a right wee beastie :thumb:
