Honda Australia has recalled their CRF1000 Africa Twin adventure motorcycle over an issue with clogged fuel tanks which could cause the bike to stall. An official recall notice has been issued through the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission affecting 745 motorcycles built from 2018 to 2020. Very little character. Some are better than others. I have a Honda CRF250L and although too slow it is an interesting bike. I recall leaving it with my Honda dealer for itβs first service and riding home on a CB500. A lot quicker but boy was it boring. Totally forgettable. I would imagine Africa Twin would be my 250 on steroids.
It is balanced, has plenty of power for the riding I do, and looks about as good as any bike out there. I get compliments every day on how nice my bike looks. I think it is about the best value in the adventure sports category. If you agree, comment about what you like most about your Twin.

Quick question (2019 AT standard manual): When cold starting the AT it idles rough with a knocking sound, almost as if 1 cylinder is intermittently shutting off but catching itself. Again with a knocking sound. about 7-10 seconds later it stops. It seems like it might shut off but doesn't.
So, for example, the new Honda Africa Twin, new Suzuki GSX-R1000 and Yamaha MT-10 are all Euro 4 compliant, and by 2017 all existing new bikes will have to be too. Some models already are, because similar emissions requirements to Euro 4, including the evaporative emissions test, have been in force in California for several years.
